Moorhead Indian Education Program
The goal of the Moorhead Indian Education Program is to ensure needs of the American Indian students attending Moorhead Schools are met to achieve graduation.
Moorhead Indian Education would like to provide families, who are eligible for Johnson O'Malley (JOM) funds, an opportunity to learn about educational support funds available to eligible students. A list of allowable items is listed here and on the monthly newsletter.
The newsletter is mailed to your home, shared electronically, and posted to Indian Education PowerSchool Learning. Students requesting educational support must be currently enrolled at Moorhead Area Public Schools.
All requests completed by the 15th of each month will be voted on at the following monthly parent committee meeting.
Services are provided to Native American students in preK-12 who meet the following criteria:
-
Students are enrolled members of a tribe, band or other organized group. A copy of the enrollment form from the tribe is required. A quarter blood quantum must be on file with the Indian Education Program for JOM Program.
-
