CDR Programs are open to all low-to-moderate income individuals and families.

Education and Development Center:
• Computer Literacy Classes: The computer literacy classes at Cultural Diversity Resources provide basic understanding of the computer, keyboarding and word processing skills.
The following classes are offered at the YWCA Women’s Shelter once a month.
1. Internet Searching for Beginners
2. Creating and Using an Email Account
3. Microsoft Word 2007
One-on-one tutoring is available at Cultural Diversity Resources by appointment only.
• Personal Financial Literacy: Learn how to budget effectively, read and understand your credit report, legally fix your credit, savings and investments, protect your identity and avoid scams…

Participants must complete all four classes to receive certificate of completion.

• Pre-Employment Training and Job Search Assistance: Learn how to effectively search for employment, create an outstanding resume, and seek employment on-line. Cultural Diversity Resources provides free internet access for individuals within the Federal poverty guidelines.
• Technical Assistance and Consultation: for new and emerging ethnic groups regarding incorporation, strategic planning, fundraising, board issues etc.
• Intercultural Community Relations: to encourage intercultural exchanges / relations and participation in local community and public issues.
• Multicultural Parent Teachers Association (MPTA) Project: to educate, assist and collaborate with Fargo school teachers and personnel to better serve and motivate New Americans and students of color to excel academically and socially.
Cultural Diversity Resources refers low-to-moderate individuals and families to local food pantries, transportation services, housing, clothing etc. Individuals and families must apply in person at CDR.
