Senator Patricia Torres Ray, the first Latina woman senator in Minnesota history will speak on Latina women in state government and the role that Latinas can play in influencing legislation. 

The format includes a presentation/lecture by the featured speaker followed by a community discussion with Latina women and then by the entire audience.

Ana Maria Vasquez-Restrepo, Global women's and indigenous human rights organizer and co-founder of Bridges Across Borders, based in Florida, is also an eco-artist named Ana Tierra.  She will speak on principles of organizing based on her work in Panama and Mexico.
