Providing technical assistance to the Native American Community in designing, developing and implementing an Urban Indian Center in Fargo-Moorhead to serve Native Americans in the Upper Plains Region of North Dakota, Western and Central Minnesota and Northeastern South Dakota.
These classes and workshops are open to the public.
Moorhead Public Schools Indian Education is currently offering Ojibwe Language classes in the Board Room at Probstfield Education Center on Monday evenings from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The paintings by Native American artist, Faron Blakely are on permanent display in the Native American Center. All items are for sale. Prints are also available.
On February 21, 2009, Cultural Diversity Resources hosted a Native American Community Meeting, in the Great Plains Food Bank Board Room, to identify the challenges and benefits of establishing an Urban Indian Center in Fargo - Moorhead. The outcome of the meeting was consensus that an Urban Native American Center was needed in Fargo-Moorhead to serve the Native American Community and Mobile Families from the surrounding seven reservations.
